The Japanese international Sora Matsushima, of Okayama Rivets, plays the Butterfly Fan Zhendong ALC with Dignics 09C on the forehand and ZYRE-03 on the backhand.

The setup
The blade is Butterfly's Fan Zhendong ALC, the outer-ALC signature model: Arylate-Carbon on the outside of the core, so it fires early and rewards a compact, forward swing. It is the same construction family as the Viscaria and the Zhang Jike ALC, and the Fan Zhendong ALC page has the full breakdown of how it plays.
On the forehand he plays Dignics 09C, the mildly tacky hybrid in Butterfly's Dignics line — enough surface grip to load serve and opening loop from short contact, with the sponge's high tension behind it on a full swing. On the backhand he plays ZYRE-03, Butterfly's newest flagship: a clean, non-tacky topsheet on the same extra-thick Spring Sponge X, tuned hard, with the highest spin figure Butterfly lists for a rubber.
The pairing puts the two different faces of the family on the two wings — tack on the forehand for the first ball, a clean, fast sheet on the backhand for the counter and the block. Both rubbers are on the Rubbers price table; the blade is on the Blades price table.
