Overview
Butterfly Dignics 05 is the clean, non-tacky flagship of the Dignics line — the rubber Harimoto plays on his forehand. Where its stablemate Dignics 09C bites with a mildly tacky sheet, D05 is a pure high-tension spin weapon: the code No. 05 topsheet built for spin, bonded to Butterfly's firmer, more resilient Spring Sponge X.
That pairing takes everything Tenergy 05 does and turns it up. The sponge resists more before it lets go, so the payoff is a heavier, faster, more penetrating ball — spin and speed on the same full-blooded stroke rather than a choice between them.
Feel & character
Dignics 05 is firmer and more demanding than Tenergy, and that is exactly the point. Play it with a committed stroke and it is one of the most dangerous rubbers Butterfly has made — deep loops, hard counters and serve-plus-attack sequences that bury opponents under rotation and pace. The topsheet holds the ball a touch longer than the numbers suggest, which is why trained players can spin so violently with it; uncommitted or lazy swings, by contrast, find a hard board that does little for them.
